i have a camera glitch that’s keeping me from putting up all of my trip pics now, but here’s an interesting memory (click to zoom):

apparently, the double kelly humps (only the first is shown) were placed in the road to keep people from going any farther. they worked! was tempted to try with some momentum, but it might have zronked something (not a good idea when you’re 2,500 miles from home), or turned into a 6-hour shovel-fest. i moved the shift lever to “R” and imagined all the trouble saved.

or was it adventure lost? hmmm. i will never know.
