PGP

i sorta got talked into using PGP recently, though i have had no interest other than mild curiosity. a couple of years ago i installed it and almost immediately forgot my passphrase.

my theory on the need for PGP is that i assume, via backdoor, keystroke recorder, or whatever, that nothing i record is secret, with or without PGP. if there were something secret enough for me to want to trust PGP, then i’d also figure i’d already been cracked.

but i’m using it now, and here’s what hit me and makes me happy. on my first use i got the picture of some government jackass tasked with monitoring the emails of anybody who bitches loud enough about government. have i crossed into that realm? i don’t know or care. but sending a PGP envelope almost makes me giggle. my recommendation: use PGP whenever possible! make all your file names “SecretBombRecipe”, etc.

here’s my public key. PGP me, baby.
