branch davidian trial transcript
few things have disgusted me so much as reading the transcript of the trial of the branch davidian survivors. apparently, i’m not alone, as it’s reported that timothy mcveigh (alleged oklahoma city bomber) initially sought to kill walter smith, the “judge” at the trial. after being unavailable for quite a while, many transcript pages, hosted elsewhere now, have resurfaced via the mt. carmel site, which, as it was previously, is quite flaky.
years ago, i tried to write and call the surviving branch davidians, once even speaking directly with clive doyle (that’s his murdered daughter shari on the right). i offered to host their site, or pay to have it hosted elsewhere, since i believe this trial transcript is important evidence for those who are undecided about waco. my offer was ignored, and they are apparently back to using cheesy free sites with spotty longevity. however, even with its 404 errors, partial coverage, and other problems, i recommended reading through what they have of the trial. just take a look at the first page and see what a stooge baby walter smith was.
i’ve written elsewhere about some of the jokes of BATF and others at the trial. i hope you’ll find time to check them (and more) out yourself. far as i know, the transcript isn’t available elsewhere on the internet.

mark, i hope i didn’t fail to check archive.org years ago for the old transcript site, which was at some free NBC deal, as i recall. pretty sure i would’ve checked, but it wouldn’t be my first silly screwup if i didn’t.
