why Firefly?
yeah, i’m a dilbert; didn’t see Firefly until this week (don’t get TV). i’m not an “OMG, firefly is the only TV show ever” guy, but it was damned enjoyable. every once in a while, the writers snuck in a full-forced liberty punch amid the always refreshing general liberty aura. there’s one in the episode “Objects in Space” that sounds like it was from this blog (less the cursing).
can’t think of one member of the cast i don’t like. always enjoyed ron glass on Barney Miller, so it’s good to see him here.

that chair she’s sitting in brings back 90s memories from when i was co-producing a computer game live action video thing. we spent weeks looking for a captain’s chair, and almost chose as a base the one used in Firefly, which appears to be, if i recall correctly, an unmodified boeing airliner pilot seat, including the same seat-travel warning on the back.
oh, and sometimes morena baccarin looks almost too good. frightening.
some good belly laughs here and there, though the humor’s a little hack sometimes, IMO. i’ll take it. dig this show a lot. so how do you get it if you haven’t? for $26.01, including shipping, all 14 episodes can be at your door within a week. what’s keepin’ ya?
