a real windows search program
big microsoft fan here, but not hard to see that in the last few years they took an already flawed search prog and made it far worse. the windows search function is the pits — not only slow and difficult to use, but wrong. yeah, it won’t find things it should have, and you’re left thinking (because it’s a computer!) it must be right.
even if you’re as hesitant as i to install new progs, give Agent Ransack a try if you’re sick of windows search. it’s well regarded, freeware, small, efficient, and hasn’t let me down yet.
