Copyright 2007 Dickhead Promotions
i could swear there’s a gradual trend at LRC and mises.org for writers to claim copyright on their articles or, in the case of one asswipe at mises.org, even blog posts. WTF?
yeah, it’s a distorted market, and yeah, IP is probably one of the toughest nuts to crack in the liberty framework, but you gotta wonder what sort of utter prick a person is to write an article regarding liberty, presumably an article in dire need of promulgation, and then slap this sort of “i’m an asshole” stamp right at the bottom when it’s lew running the show. was just reading an exceptional, though still flawed, article at LRC, and was shocked and bummed to see the dickhead notice at the end. in my time at LRC, i never discussed copyright with lew. i’d love to hear some of these conversations of people so self-important they even have the nerve to bring it up. wonder if they just slap the notice on and it gets carried over.
i encourage all readers of LRC or mises.org to shove IP in their faces. abuse it. take it to the edge. consider even passing off the articles of others under fake names. aim for the dickheads. the arrogance of some of these fuckers is off the charts. notice some of the blog posts, especially at LRC, where some obviously don’t even bother to read their posts upon publishing. they drop off their mess and haul ass with thumbs inserted.
here’s a tidbit you may not be aware of: far as i know (not 100%, but close enough), there was a purge on the LRC blog over a year ago. lew announced that LRC bloggers would have to pay. so when you read an LRC blog post, the odds are good the poster paid for the audience. that might help explain some of the more tasteless self promotion from one or two of the anointed (who often don’t hesitate to post everything on the front, deferring nothing to the item page).
