truth of ‘Atlas Shrugged’ demonstrated again

the alternating outrage and glee of the psychotic public over paris hilton’s situation demonstrates the accuracy of ayn rand’s pen as she described the fate of the fictional Twentieth Century Motor Company. harold leiendecker:

[...] Its founder had built the best automobile company around. But his heirs decide to run it on the basis of “From each according to his ability, to each according to his need.” Rand’s hatred for what she saw in her native Russia boils over here.

The rewarding of need motivates many employees to become victims and beggars. Those who used to celebrate births in the community, come to hate them. They become hostile toward those who become sick, and many feign incompetence in order to avoid the extra assignments that accrue to good workers. The new generation of family owners receives many public humanitarian awards, and admiration for their new, selfless administration. But one sister in the family becomes the czar of judging needs, and enjoys that power, to a fault. One brother makes himself more equal than others, and becomes dissolute. The company rots away.

outside of all reason, the american slaves are infuriated not by the regular sadistic practice of throwing people in cages as punishment, but because this fraudulent sickness appears to have been mollified for one victim. they’re jealous! “we demand equal maltreatment and sickness!” this is deep, ignored insanity, and the exact ingredient the state thrives upon, turning what should be its enemies into its greatest supporters. their creed: “so long as you treat others as shittily as you do me, we will coexist and i’ll feed you. however, should i suspect your brutality’s been withheld in any way, i will protest until its reinstatement.”

and people think i’m speaking figuratively when i call male statists homosexuals.

richard feynman had it right; we should strive to evaluate from first principles that to which we’re exposed. the correct action in the paris hilton debacle is to protest all such imprisonment, for it’s the fear fuel powering the state. no surprise that ayn rand had seen this shit in its rawest environment — 1920s russia. recommended novel.

i believe we are watching the last era of the US scam.
