brain cells have left the building at LRC

ignoring for a bit the extended, repetitive statist gushing of dipshit tex macrae and many other similar fools at LRC, get a load of this classic from “lawyer” and black-robe-buttmuncher james “dumbass” ostrowski:

Why not judge candidates by the number of people who show up to hear them speak? What’s wrong with that? A simple, fair test of support.

simple, maybe. fair? worthwhile? accurate? hardly. the dimming bulbs at LRC and elsewhere, so far up ron paul’s ass they need scuba tanks, haven’t yet computed the self-selection and desperation angle on their official criminal of choice’s candidacy. RP fanatics are pissed off, eager, frustrated, etc. For decades these people have been awaiting the alignment of american politics favorable to a supposed liberty candidate. many have passed the same onto their children. some more lucent kids have picked up the correct path (toward liberty) themselves, but haven’t yet had the chance to understand that the extension of that path points away from the state.

whatever their reasons, RP fans are a rabid minority, seeing their single window of opportunity dangling. of course they’re going to outnumber people showing up for the usual bullshit. they’re excited. they’re psyched. they’re stupid. and when the self-selection factor gets watered down, in primaries and elections where a wider part of the general population participates, they’ll be drowned in their embarrassing screaming of someone’s name — mass worshiping a man in the name of individualism. great plan! do you hear these scum shouting “liberty” or “freedom” or “don’t tread on me” regularly? nope. just “ron paul ron paul ron paul ron paul”. they couldn’t more closely resemble the typical crowds at election night parties — just as stupidly embracing the state, but with enthusiasm that peaked early, on a full tank of ignorant.

so no, moron ostrowski, counting numbers at ron paul events isn’t even close to a comparable measure of support. RP lunatics are a loud, supremely motivated crew pushing a candidate that most people think is an unbalanced crank. and if he doesn’t make immediate and severe changes in his rhetorical style, the american political blob, most of which doesn’t have a clue who ron paul is, will be more than happy to ignore him. these are the same idiots who elected bush in 2004 — the same idiots who want “free” health care and blow jobs on the mystery dime (crime).

watch ron paul fizzle in a haze of compromised — even for him — drivel. after all the hype, he’s going to keep diluting his robot points (e.g., his big plan now for saving the US is to end the iraq occupation, ensuring the “success” of continuing the usual wealth confiscation and distribution in the name of humanity). what positions of his meet favor will be adopted rhetorically by the lacquer-suited, after which ron paul’s >70-year-old smiling scowl can get thrown out with the pile of his positions the average american considers purest crap.

while i’d love to see a ron paul presidency, so the dummkopfs promoting him can have the assured explosion of his failure as president shoved up ‘em good and real, it would almost be better to have him go 3/4 of the way and get fried. then the traitorous hypocrites supporting him can be encouraged to try again in 4 years — maybe with lew rockwell as the sacrificial oaf. he will have deserved it.
