how ‘they’ poll for ron paul
the RP onslaught’s been helpful in demonstrating just how low “libertarians” can sink if they feel their teeth on the power toy. perhaps the most voluminous delusional apologia spewer at LRC (it’s a tight race), tex macrae once again mounts the pro-RP mechanical bull to let you know “How they poll for Ron Paul“:
Here’s a North Carolina robocall survey’s actual question:
There will be a number of people running for President in 2008 as Republicans. Some of the most talked about are Rudy Giuliani, John McCain, Mitt Romney and Fred Thompson. If the Republican primary were today which of these men would you vote for, or would you vote for somebody else?
Giuliani………………. .19% McCain………………. . 8% Romney …………….. .10% Thompson………….. .24% Other…………………. .14% Undecided………….. .25%
To be fair, they left Huckabee off as well.
to be “fair”.
ron paul consistently polls for shit in traditional polls — where his name’s included explicitly, in shifting order — and tex “to be fair” macrae wants to wash it all away because he found some obscure nothing poll that excludes ron paul.
of course paulists are correct in noting the looming demise of conventional polls, but this ostrich-headed denial of macrae and his buddies just makes the paulists look like the foolish fanatics they are. the entire movement’s built on the illogical false choice that the only possibility is pro-paul or pro-MSM. bad news for paulists: you and the MSM machine suck anal enchilada.
