if you haven’t seen the CYE season 6 closer yet, might wanna avoid reading this dialog snippet and comment:
antoinette: look, i think i’ve given you the wrong impression; larry’s anus is fine-larry: (interrupts, furious) shut the fuck up! okay? shut the fuck up!
antoinette was never a fave character of mine, but the timing (her or the editor’s) and delivery provide the perfect prompt for what may be larry’s most intense and serious meltdown so far. intense and then it’s gone.
love the whole gerbil thing, the way it was set up to be truth. actors on the series often oversell, but larry played that close to the vest. good work, supported well by richard lewis and the great bob einstein. michael mckean — no slouch either.
