LRC slop

lew’s loose editing style bites another moron:

Did you know that there is no requirement anywhere in the Constitution that a Representative, Senator or the Vice President must swear any oath of any kind? Further, there is no requirement for any Federal judge to swear any oath of any kind.

US constitution:

The Senators and Representatives before mentioned, and the Members of the several State Legislatures, and all executive and judicial Officers, both of the United States and of the several States, shall be bound by Oath or Affirmation, to support this Constitution;

no surprise that the idiot (russell longcore) who wrote the article — much of which is based on the wrong nonsense quoted at the top — asserts a copyright notice in his name.

fuck off, LRC dumbasses.

[update 090126: though the false assertion was a major premise of the article, once dipshit boy found out he was dead wrong, he sent the thing into total non sequitur territory with a salvage attempt (instead of yanking the POS article as an honorable man would):

Article VI, Section 4, states that the other elected officials, such as Representatives, Senators, the Vice President and Federal judges must swear an oath, but it does not list a particular oath or affirmation. I guess they can just make one up.

that's it. boy dumbass replaced one paragraph but left dependent exclamatory crap such as,

So, I watched Tuesday with great amusement as Joseph Biden swore an oath to be Vice President. But the Oath of Office that he swore was lifted from the Oath of Office for Military Officers, which is:

"I, Joseph Biden, do solemnly swear (or affirm) that I will support and defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies, foreign or domestic, that I will bear true faith and allegiance to the same; that I take this obligation freely, without any mental reservations or purpose of evasion; and that I will well and faithfully discharge the duties of the office upon which I am about to enter; So help me God."

There is no Oath of Office for Vice President! Only for President!

Why do I bring this up...other than for the entertainment value it held?

Because it serves to prove that the Oaths of Office sworn in the Congress, Senate, by Supreme Court justices, the Vice President and President ARE MEANINGLESS!!

who says the oath for vice president was "lifted from the Oath of Office for Military Officers"? the same douche who says "There is no Oath of Office for Vice President!"

regardless, who the fuck cares?

"no Oath of Office for Vice President"? try 5 U.S.C. 3331, asshole — unmodified since 1884.

then he says that "it" — his tossed off bouillabaisse of falsehoods centered on an improperly edited "correction" — "serves to prove that the Oaths of Office sworn in the Congress, Senate, by Supreme Court justices, the Vice President and President ARE MEANINGLESS!!"

yeah. proves more about your dishonorable ass.]
