lew, conditional adorer of state titles, calls helen mirren “Dame Helen”, yet refers to [sir] michael parkinson as “the extremely creepy interviewer”.
mirren is undoubtedly an exceptional beauty and woman (my view on schooling in agreement with hers), but that “extremely creepy interviewer” is, in context, a deserved institution in england who’s created for decades interview moments that rockwell couldn’t even approach. fuck you, lew. go eat “judge” whatzhisface’s shorts.
on helen mirren, however, i would like to be on helen mirren. never thought i’d want to merge with a woman born in 1945, but that was my definite impulse while watching The Last Station. she has figured out how to age right.
