if you doubt it, examine the Disaster Recovery Personal Protection Act of 2006, which NRA spewges as a triumph for american gun owners.NRA poses as grand protector of the second amendment, and champions "legislation" which further erodes the teeth of that worthless, mistaken amendment. translated, H.R. 5013 declares, "the second amendment means nothing."
what other conclusion could be made where a law which states in the imperative section "the right of the people to keep and bear Arms shall not be infringed" doesn't mean that the right of the people to keep and bear arms shall not be infringed?
in case you, like most people, have brainwashed yourself into oblivion on language, note that it states the right of the people. there's no emergency exception. there's nothing in favor of a government scumbag. it prohibits the infringement of the right of the people to keep and bear arms. we need a "law" now to specify the situations where it really, really means what it says? crock. it's the same disaster of the "bill of rights" repeated anew. the only amendment of the first 10 that's worth a shit is the tenth. all the others are excuses for the raping and ignoring of all that makes sense.
