walter block, in tune
recommendedfirst thing to know about LvMI guy walter block: he teaches at private loyola university new orleans. why does it matter? because he's thereby removed from that scumbag pool of flaming hypocrite economics criminals associated with LvMI who preach voluntarism while regularly cashing checks significantly derived from state treadmill slaves.
second thing to know about walter block is that he's more often than not a bad motherfucker. not reliably good out of his element, on the fly, but give him a few moments to prepare on subjects he knows (many), and he kicks a direct style, rich not in density of prancing and preening like most of those smoking-jacket deadbeat paper-reading fags at LvMI, but in worthy thought — the kind of stuff you need to slow down and review. not the usual "skim the blah blah" routine.
fuck it; read for yourself. it's a good'n.
oh, and read today's fred reed too. exceptionally good day at the all new and generally degraded "worship the state" headquarters.

There's a video of Walter somewhere, probably in the media section at LvMI, where he went on some Black Power show on a public access channel in New Orleans and absolutely kicked the shit out of these Marxist dick-licks. I give those Black Panther baddies some credit though for having the nerve to invite Block's cracker ass onto their show. Still, it's hilarious and worth watching as there are several instances of Block saying something and one of the guys just totally locks up and goes "errrrrrrrrr" as he has no response to what Block just struck him with.
Block can kick ass. But he can also suck ass, like when he teams up with Max Raskin, the world's smartest libertarian high school student and its most prolific writer. That was a regular old blowhard convention when I read it, very disappointing coming from the old Blockinator.
yeah, i wouldn't bother reading anything infected by moron jackal-pussy max raskin. twice was enough. no idea why such loudmouthed ignorance is encouraged at LRC. lew did it before with another high school kid, but that one wasn't as bad as douche boy. there's a disease that hits many LRC writers when allowed into that club (and it is a club); they start to believe they're exceptionally wise because of the forum, holding forth as if they just came down from the mountain. happened to me a bit, and it's fucking embarrassing to think about.
was mainly the new orleans TV show i was thinking of when noting that block isn't always on his game. don't think he did so well there, though i'm talking about the difference between a decision and a first round knockout.
It wasn't perfect, but there were a few late round KOs, even if they weren't first round KOs like you were looking for.
