death proof honey
okay, so i keep buying quentin tarantino movies even though he's one of the world's most annoying jerks. IMO his writing/directing is getting a little slack and pukingly self-referential (still devastating when he's on), but he remains second to none in music selection. good luck hearing this taste bud morsel singing "Chick Habit" without wanting to know more about her.QT, you rat bastard.
extra credit to robert rodriguez for again including an audience reaction track on a DVD release — this time for Planet Terror. though the audience overdoes the recognition contest and applause thing, it's still one of the best new trends in DVD enjoyment.
won't go into what i like/dislike about these two movies (released in theaters as Grindhouse), but i will say i'd like a prolonged date on any moving car hood with the grow-on-ya-at-speed luscious stunt badass zoë bell. if you can watch the DVD bonus feature on her and not get at least a minor crush... yer a fuckin' robot. the girl has belly landscape. canvas for dreams.
